Alongside my studio practice, I host Clay & Gather - relaxed pottery workshops designed to faciltate slowing down, connecting and feeling the joy that comes from making something by hand.

As part of a coffee collection designed to be stocked at Cove Coffee in Lulworth Cove, I created these Lulworth Mugs to depict the coastline from Weymouth to St Aldhelm's Head. Featuring the iconic horseshoe shaped cut-out of Lulworth Cove in the centre, these mugs continue the evolution of the coastal carving from the earlier Sandbanks Bowls. Linked in both concept and process, their opposite colourway allows me to further explore my obsession with the coastline in a fresh new way.

As an extension of my work with lava glaze for the Dorset Art Weeks 2026 Exhibition, I was drawn to create a set of interconnected wall hanging pieces. Inspired by the flow of the frothy tide line on the necks of the vases, I wanted to explore that on flatware reimagining them as a painted seascape.

Playing with lava glaze to complement an organic, variation of forms, I had the pleasure of discoving some unexpected magic when I opened the kiln (one of the many joys of working with ceramics!). The glaze had expanded, and like running water from a tap will move to hug a spoon, it had reached out and formed connections between all the bud vases on the shelf, creating awesome, geomorphological-like features. A couple stayed connected for a time but in the end they all separated, leaving behind little craggy extensions as evidence of their touch points.

My current work focuses on extracting the details and epressive marks from abstract paintings to produce 'prints' as one-off editions. Wheel thrown ceramics featuring these slices of expression, bringing two mediums together to create a collaboration embodying my favourite elements of both.

Inspired by the local landcape, the shape of the coastline in Poole transcribed perfectly into the continuous line style drawing I enjoy.
These bowls are a multitude of processes. First they are wheel thrown and left to dry until leather hard before being trimmed. Then I cover the interior of the bowl in a cobalt slip and once dry, carve out the lines of the coastline, on one side the Sandbanks peninsular and Poole Harbour, on the other, Studland Bay. Sometimes, the tiny islands of Brownsea and co. feature, each is hand drawn so completely unique. The bowls are then bisque fired, glazed in a transparent glaze and fired for a second time.

Handbuilt from a heavily grogged, grey clay, these pieces were the focal point of my collection as part of an exhibition at Upton House, The Gallery Upstairs, with a local artist collective. After a period of regularly hiking the chalk cliffs in the area, I wanted to celebrate our relationship with nature, the way every walk was a fresh experience, a different feeling, a changing perspective. The contrasting forms represent the powerful and sheilding, alongside the soft, feminine.
