Clay & Gather

Sometimes slowing down and creating something can be just the restorative reset your mind is craving.

All of my workshops are designed for play, creativity and connection with the emphasis on process and the simple pleasure of making by hand.

Ground Yourself

There’s something quietly powerful about making with your hands. Just 45 minutes of creative focus has been shown to reduce stress, lift your mood, and restore a sense of balance.

Over time, regular creativity is linked to greater wellbeing and long-term brain health - a small ritual that goes further than you might expect.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clay & Gather workshops are relaxed, hands-on experiences designed for all skill levels. You’ll learn the fundamentals of working with clay and the techniques required for the workshop you’ve chosen in a welcoming, creative environment.

Not at all! Just curiosity and a willingness to go with the creative flow! All of the workshops are designed to be relaxed and accessible, whether it’s your first time working with clay or you’re already in love.

The slowness of the process is both the blessing and the curse of working with clay! After the workshop your pot will need time to dry slowly until bone dry before being loaded into the kiln for its first firing. Once bisque fired, I’ll carefully glaze your pot and load it back into the kiln for a second firing. This entire process takes around 4-6 weeks.

These workshops are less about formal teaching and more about guided making. You’ll be supported throughout, with space to explore the material, experiment, and develop your own approach. Think of it as a chance to work intuitively, with gentle guidance along the way. The focus is on the experience as much as the outcome; creating something personal while enjoying the process of working with a natural, tactile material.

I recommend wearing something comfortable that you don’t mind getting a little messy.
