Over time, regular creativity is linked to greater wellbeing and long-term brain health - a small ritual that goes further than you might expect.

A welcoming, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable evening to enjoy with friends. It was also nice to meet new people and be creative in a comfortable environment. Roxy fully equips you with all the tools, gentle guidance and inspiration you need to create something special with clay. It was exciting to receive the finished product, I was thrilled with how my pot turned out. I look forward to booking again soon.
We had a lovely evening clay carving with Roxy. She introduced the group, we had a little ice breaker and then she explained the process and set us free with tools and clay! Roxy offered advice and inspiration but was not too prescriptive. The group was welcoming and intimate, we had a lovely corner of the venue all to ourselves and it was a great mindful evening. Can’t wait to see how my pot turns out!!
I recently attended a pinch pottery workshop with Roxy and came away with two pieces I absolutely love, a pinch pot and a small shell form. As someone completely new to working with clay, I found the whole experience really welcoming. Roxy created a safe, relaxed space that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the process without any pressure. The session began with a short meditation, focusing on different parts of the body and ending with us holding the ball of clay in our hands. It felt like a thoughtful way to connect with the material before we began shaping it, and it set the tone for the rest of the evening. We were guided throughout, but there was also plenty of room to experiment and follow our own ideas, which I really appreciated. Support was always there when needed, without ever feeling intrusive. There was also real attention to detail in how everything was set up. The table was beautifully arranged with some of Roxy’s own work, along with flowers and candles, which gave the evening a warm and intimate feel. Thank you Roxy for such a considered experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend!
Clay & Gather workshops are relaxed, hands-on experiences designed for all skill levels. You’ll learn the fundamentals of working with clay and the techniques required for the workshop you’ve chosen in a welcoming, creative environment.
Not at all! Just curiosity and a willingness to go with the creative flow! All of the workshops are designed to be relaxed and accessible, whether it’s your first time working with clay or you’re already in love.
The slowness of the process is both the blessing and the curse of working with clay! After the workshop your pot will need time to dry slowly until bone dry before being loaded into the kiln for its first firing. Once bisque fired, I’ll carefully glaze your pot and load it back into the kiln for a second firing. This entire process takes around 4-6 weeks.
These workshops are less about formal teaching and more about guided making. You’ll be supported throughout, with space to explore the material, experiment, and develop your own approach. Think of it as a chance to work intuitively, with gentle guidance along the way. The focus is on the experience as much as the outcome; creating something personal while enjoying the process of working with a natural, tactile material.
I recommend wearing something comfortable that you don’t mind getting a little messy.
